Christmas 2009: Snowpocalypse

The week before Christmas, a huge snowstorm hit DC. We received close to two feet of snow, the biggest December snow storm on record for the area. It fell beautifully, but ultimately caused a lot of havoc. School was canceled for the entire week, along with holiday parties, church services and other fun activities we had planned. For me, it was a bit of a Christmas bummer.

But what an incredible picture. And the stories you'll have for years to come...... I'm glad you all are well.

did you have your Christmas Shopping done? The snow hit us last year, but I was pretty much on top of things, just had to hit the local k-mart for last minute stuff. This year.....not. Still have some Christmas cards I want to send out. (New Years Cards ?)

WOW...that is a lot of snow. DC tends to freak out about snow (as you well know by now) but it looks like this time they definitely had something legitimate to freak out about!
