In Case Neilsen Media is reading ...

Here is our fall TV lineup:

*The Office (after we catch up to the current season on Netflix. Can't believe it took us this long to watch this funny funny show)

*House (don't know if I'll make it through the season....last season wasn't as good as previous years)

*Desperate Housewives (we hadn't watched this show regularly for a couple seasons, but the season finale last year got us hooked again)

*Friday Night Lights (so underrated....so great!)

*Project Runway (I love hearing Ed's opinions on the runway outfits...not that I'm that much more educated on the subject)

4 1/2 hours of TV a week. I don't feel guilty. We have DVR and watch our shows at the end of the day, together, after the boys have gone to bed. It is something to look forward to at the end of a day. Plus, I rarely watch movies, so that is my screen time....unless you count the Internet....whoops.

What about ER ? I remember when you were nuts for that show. Jenny and I got hooked for accouple years till it got too graffic and didnt make you feel good when it was over. Have you watched MONK? My favorite!!!

No....no more ER. Couldn't watch it anymore (or any hospital show) after spending a week in the ICU waiting room at OHSU.

I will have to try out Monk...I have heard good things :)

Just as an add: I also watch "Mad Men" and I watched "The Wire," two fantastic shows. "Mad Men" is a noir-type show, but has a lot of traits that I enjoyed in "The Sopranos," which makes sense since it's written by a David Chase disciple.

"The Wire".... I mean, a show with a social conscience is so rare these days. As depressing as it was to watch sometimes, it made you think hard about what's going on in this country.

"Friday Night Lights" is fabulous. Too bad us non-Direc TV folk have to wait till February to watch it. Grrrr! But the details, the anguish, the dynamic of Coach Taylor's family.... wow, it's great!
